Join Registered Holistic Nutritionists Rebecca Sekhon and Meghann Riley to learn how to make Fermented Pickles. Vegetable fermentation is a century's - old art of preservation that not only allows for the summer's harvest to be enjoyed all year long, it drastically improves the flavour and nutritional value of the food being preserved. During this hands-on workshop, participants will prepare their own 1L jar of pickles with many flavour options to choose from, learn the steps of fermentation and understand the nutritional relevance of fermented foods.
Each participant will bring their jar home to ferment, along with a recipe hand-out and continued on-line support through access to a private facebook page and/or email communication.
Formed by Registered Holistic Nutritionists, Fizz Ferments creates small -batch, hand-made vegetable ferments. Meghann Riley & Rebecca Sekhon share a passion for all things fermented and have spent the past several years researching the health benefits, formulating recipes and sharing the how-to through hands-on workshops.
